Not Another Statistic™ Youth Leadership Academy

A 28-week school-based leadership development program that blends academic support, emotional wellness, identity development, and civic engagement. Students learn how to master their mindset, improve academic performance, strengthen their confidence, and develop the discipline needed to lead in their schools and communities. The program combines mentorship, social-emotional learning, leadership training, and real-world application so youth can rise with purpose and become changemakers.

Family Empowerment Lab

The Family Empowerment Lab is an eight-week experience designed to support parents and caregivers in strengthening communication, reducing stress, and deepening family connection. This is not just another parenting class; it builds on the wisdom families already have, offering practical tools and a supportive community to help them enhance what is already working at home.

Through guided discussions and restorative, interactive workshops, families cultivate strategies for creating a peaceful home environment, supporting their child’s academic and emotional growth, and improving everyday relationships. Parents and youth come together at key moments to rebuild trust and set shared goals for their family’s future.

At One Horizon Foundation, we believe families rise together and the Family Empowerment Lab creates the space for that growth and healing.

Restorative Classrooms: Educator Training & School Climate Initiative

A professional development series for teachers, counselors, and administrators focused on restorative practices, culturally responsive teaching, trauma-informed support, and community-building strategies. This program helps schools reduce disproportionate discipline, strengthen student–teacher relationships, and create learning environments where all students feel understood, valued, and supported. Schools receive coaching, workshops, and implementation support tailored to their community needs.

Voices for Impact Academy

A civic leadership initiative that teaches youth how to advocate, organize, and use their voice to influence change. Inspired by leadership models, this program introduces public speaking, collaborative problem-solving, community research, and engagement with local government and community organizations. Youth participate in hands-on projects that build confidence, civic awareness, and real-world leadership experience.

Beyond the Valley: Enrichment & Exposure Experiences

A program that expands students’ horizons through leadership camps, college tours, cultural trips, community projects, and specialized enrichment opportunities. Youth experience new environments, build confidence, and discover pathways for their academic, personal, and career futures. These experiences help students imagine what is possible and motivate them to pursue higher goals.

Community Support & Housing Advocacy

A support initiative that assists families facing crisis or instability through resource navigation, clothing stipends, housing referrals, and partnership-based support services. The program also advocates for equitable housing policies in Santa Clarita and Los Angeles County, helping families stabilize so youth can focus on learning, growth, and long-term success.

Startup Academy: Youth Enterprise & Financial Futures Initiative

Empowering young people with the tools, confidence, and skills to build their own opportunities.

Startup Academy introduces youth to entrepreneurship and financial literacy through immersive, hands-on learning. Students explore how businesses are created, how money flows, and how their own ideas can become meaningful projects. Skills include saving, budgeting, branding, leadership, communication, problem-solving, and goal-setting.

Youth collaborate with local entrepreneurs and small business owners who share real-world lessons and provide mentorship. Through workshops, team challenges, and creative projects, students build confidence, resourcefulness, and the mindset needed to become innovators and leaders in their community.
